Kate Burton was born September 10, 1957, in Geneva, Switzerland. She is the daughter of the late actor Richard Burton. She is a graduate of Brown university with a degree in Russian and European history. Burton then went on to earn a graduate degree in Theatre at Yale University.
Career[]
She played Nick Burkhardt's aunt, Marie Kessler, in the NBC series Grimm. In addition to her stage work, Burton has appeared in such films as Alice in Wonderland, Anne of a Thousand Days, Big Trouble in Little China, The First Wives Club, Life with Mikey, and The Ice Storm. Her TV appearances include Spenser: For Hire, All My Children, Law and Order, The Practice, West Wing, Judging Amy, Medium, Rescue Me, Grey's Anatomy, and Brooklyn Bridge. She has also narrated several best-selling audio books.
