Opening Quote: "I think I had a mother once." – Peter Pan

Scene: Movers take boxes out of Nick's house.

[Nick knocks on Adalind's door]
Adalind: Come in.
Nick: They're almost done. [He opens the door]
Adalind: So am I. I just have to put Kelly in the car seat.
Nick: I'll get him.
Adalind: How long have you lived in this house?
Nick: [Kelly fusses as he picks him up] Shh. About six and a half years. I never thought I'd be here forever, but I didn't know anything about being a Grimm when I bought it... Now that I think about it, you were my first.
Adalind: First what?
Nick: First woge I ever saw. Remember that? You were coming out of a coffee shop. I was with Hank... [Flashback of Nick seeing Adalind woge in "Pilot"] and you looked at me.
Adalind: As I remember it, you were looking at me.
Nick: You scared the hell out of me.
Adalind: You scared the hell out of me too. I guess you were my first as well. I'd never seen a Grimm before.
Mover: [He knocks] Sorry to interrupt. Can we grab the crib?
Adalind: Yeah, it's ready.
[Kelly cries]
Nick: [As Adalind picks up Kelly's baby bag] I'll get it; here.
Adalind: I'll get him in the car. Thanks. [She picks up Kelly's car seat] You ready to go? [She leaves the room as Kelly gurgles]
[Nick goes downstairs and looks around the now empty house one last time before he leaves]

Scene: Monroe calculates how much money Rosalee made at the spice shop the day before.

Monroe: Wow. You kicked ass yesterday.
Rosalee: Yeah, it was pretty nonstop. How much did we do?
Monroe: Check this out.
Rosalee: Oh, I kicked serious ass yesterday. [She hands Monroe a mug and they cheers]
[Monroe exclaims in disgust]
Rosalee: What?
Monroe: [He coughs] There's just a little-just a little too much of—
Rosalee: Catuaba. I might've doubled dosed. I can cut that with some bayberry.
Monroe: [He coughs] I'm not sure you could cut that with a chain saw.
[Rosalee goes to get the bayberry and notices a bullet hole behind it. Flashback of Juliette almost making Nick shoot Monroe in "Headache." Monroe walks into the room and sees Rosalee with her back turned to him]
Rosalee: I know this is gonna sound weird, but I miss Juliette. The old Juliette... before she turned...
Monroe: I miss that Juliette too.
Rosalee: But I'm more glad the bullet missed you. [She hugs Monroe and he kisses her forehead]

Scene: Wendy Henley runs through the forest as Peter, Lily, Big John, and Miguel chase after her.

Lily: Mother! Come back! Come back!
Miguel: Mother! Don't leave us!
Peter: Where are you?
[Wendy hits her head on a branch and falls down a hill]
Lily: Come back!
[Wendy rolls to the bottom of the hill and hits her head]
Miguel: Mother!
[Peter, Lily, Big John, and Miguel run up to Wendy, and Peter checks to see if Wendy is breathing]
Lily: Is she...
Peter: Mother's left us.
[Lily kneels down by Wendy, crying]
Big John: How could she do this? We loved her!
[Lily coughs]
Miguel: Maybe we didn't love her enough.
Big John: I loved her more than enough.
[Lily sobs as an engine approaches]
Peter: Let's go.
[Big John takes out a knife as his eyes woge and cuts off some of Wendy's hair]
Peter: Hurry up, Big John! Come on!
[Big Jon goes to the others as they watch a vehicle approach Wendy's body]
Rancher: What the hell? Miss?
[Big John woges his eyes again]
Rancher: Hey! You okay? Miss?
Lily: What do we do?
Rancher: Oh, my God.
Peter: [He woges his eyes] We find another mother.
Rancher: [On the phone] I found a lady here-
[Peter and Big John look at each other]

Scene: Nick and Adalind arrive at their new loft.

Adalind: So this is home?
Nick: Yeah. It's safe. Nobody knows where we are.
Adalind: I can kind of see why.
Nick: It looks nicer on the inside.
[Nick pulls in through the garage door]
Adalind: [She gets out of the car and looks around] So kid-friendly.
Nick: [He enters the passcode and they go up in the elevator] It's a little barren, but I got us enough to start.
Adalind: Where's your furniture?
Nick: It's in storage. I didn't want anything from the old house, I didn't want the movers to know where we moved. I don't want anybody to know where we are.
Adalind: Good. Is that the only access?
Nick: Well, there's a heavily-bolted door to the fire escape, and there's the roof, which you can only access from here. [He shows Adalind a staircase] And this... [He opens a little door] It's not even in the city plans. I think it was built during prohibition... Leads down to the tunnels beneath the city, Shanghai tunnels maybe, but... it's been blocked off. This room's for you and Kelly...
Adalind: Aren't we a little exposed?
Nick: Not really. [He goes over the windows] Three inches of solid steel. [He slides the steel over a window before uncovering it]
Adalind: Well, it's not exactly charming, but I do feel safer than the other place.
Nick: After everything that happened, I'm not taking any chances with my son or with you.
Adalind: Where will you be?
Nick: Just down there.
Adalind: And bathrooms?
Nick: Only one: in the corner.
Adalind: We'll get used to that. I will need to get a few things, though, like food.
Nick: Use this credit card to get whatever it is you need. The entrance code is on the paper. This is the key to the door, and this is the key to the car parked next to mine down below.
Adalind: Juliette's?
Nick: It was. Is that a problem?
Adalind: No.
Nick: [His phone rings and he answers] Hank? Yeah, I know where it is. I can be there in 20 minutes. [He hangs up]
Adalind: If this is where I'm supposed to ask what time you're gonna be home, don't worry, I won't.
[Nick leaves]
Adalind: Home sweet home.

Scene: Big John puts wood on a fire while Peter makes tea for Lily.

Big John: It's my fault Mother got away. I was on watch, and I fell asleep. [He puts the hair he cut off of Wendy into a small box with other hair that he collected] It's because of what we are, isn't it?
Peter: Real mothers would never abandon their children. No matter what they were. She got what she deserved. [Lily starts coughing and he brings her the tea]
Miguel: I don't think she's doin' so good.
Peter: Here. Drink this. Be careful. It's still hot. Drink as much as you can, and then try and get some sleep.
Lily: I can't sleep. It's hard to breathe...
Miguel: She needs some real medicine. We have to take her to a doctor.
Lily: No. They'll send me back.
Peter: Big John and me will go get some medicine to help stop your cough.
Big John: What about the police? Last time I went into town, I almost got caught.
Peter: [He sighs] We have no choice.

Scene: Wu leads Nick and Hank to Wendy's body.

Wu: Woman's body reported by Dennis Bridger, local rancher. [Pointing to Dennis' truck] This is him right here.
Hank: Did he hit her?
Wu: Not according to him. Found her right where she is. Didn't touch her, called it in, stuck around till we got here.
Nick: Any ID?
Wu: Nothing.
Nick: Use the IBIS. Run her prints.
Hank: No shoes. Scratches on her feet; she been running a long time.
Nick: Big head wound. Marks on wrists.
Hank: Someone's been keeping her tied up.
Nick: That's exactly what I'm thinking.
Wu: She's in the system. Wendy Henley.
Hank: Record?
Wu: No. Missing person. Reported over two years ago.
Hank: Let's get the case file, see what we know.
Wu: Yeah.

Scene: Meisner waits for Renard outside his office.

Renard: Check with the DA. If she signs off on it, make the arrest.
Man: You got it. [He walks away]
[Renard walks around the corner and pauses when he sees Meisner]
Meisner: We should catch up.
Renard: Yeah. [He and Meisner go into his office] I was afraid you were dead.
Meisner: I was afraid you were dead. I heard they sent Kenneth.
Renard: They did.
Meisner: Seems the police suspected him of some kind of Jack the Ripper. Guess he got here at just the right time.
Renard: What are you doing here?
Meisner: I thought you should know the King had an accident.
Renard: What?
Meisner: From what I've been told, he fell out of his helicopter somewhere over the ocean. The body has not yet been found.
Renard: Diana was with him.
Meisner: She's safe. Don't worry; she's with friends. Apparently Viktor wasn't too happy about being replaced by his cousin, Kenneth. None too happy with the King either for doing it.
Renard: So Viktor struck a deal with the Resistance?
Meisner: A little payback. They gave them your daughter—
Renard: And you took care of the King.
Meisner: Let's just say I happened to be on the helicopter at the same time.
Renard: That puts Viktor on the throne.
Meisner: For now. In case you're wondering, they haven't found the helicopter either.
Renard: Where's my daughter? I want to see her.
Meisner: They didn't tell me. I just wanted you to know what I did. [He starts walking towards the door]
Renard: How do I contact you?
Meisner: I'll contact you. By the way, I was never here, and you don't know any of this. Bit of a cliché, but such is life. [He leaves]

Scene: Peter and Big John go to a store to find medicine for Lily.

[Peter picks up a bottle of cough medicine]
Mother: [To her son] Hey! What are you doing? Stop it.
[Peter and Big John look, thinking she is talking to them. Big John then woges his eyes]
Mother: I swear to God, it's one thing after another with you.
Peter: Do you want to go back to foster care?
Big John: No. [He retracts his eyes]
Peter: Then let's get what we came here for. [He sees a security guard] Let's go somewhere else.

Scene: Nick and Hank show Renard security footage from the last time Wendy was seen.

Hank: This was the last time our victim Wendy Henley was seen in public: July 12th two years ago. Her husband reported her missing that night.
Nick: You remember that case?
Renard: Yeah. Trail went cold. There was no body, no ransom note, no witnesses.
Hank: Well, we got a body now.
Nick: There was no ID for the girl in the case report. Anybody ever ID her?
Renard: No, they tried, but there was no report of a missing kid.
Nick: Victim never comes back to the car.
Renard: How long before the husband reported her missing?
Hank: Six hours.
Renard: If I recall, the husband was the primary suspect.
Hank: He had no alibi but was never charged. Not enough evidence. No history of marital problems.
Nick: Patrol came back six hours later, found her car right where she left it.
Renard: Talk to the husband. Tell him his wife's body's been found. See if you can get a read on him.

Scene: Peter and Big John go into the spice shop.

Rosalee: May I help you?
Peter: Do you have any stuff for a cough?
Rosalee: Well, depends on the cough. For a wet cough, I'd suggest eucalyptus. But if it's a dry cough, the sandalwood. Depends on the symptoms.
Peter: It's a bad cough, and you can't really breathe so good.
Rosalee: Well, the strongest thing I have is goldenseal. You make a tea with it.
Peter: How much is it? [He looks at Big John]
Rosalee: Depends on how much you need and that depends on-
[Glass shatters as Big John knocks a bottle off a shelf]
Rosalee: Oh.
Big John: Um, sorry.
Rosalee: It's broken glass. Don't touch it. I'll get the broom. [She sees Peter putting the goldenseal in his pocket] Hey! I saw that. [She grabs Peter before he can get away as Big John leaves]
Peter: Hey!
Rosalee: You stole it.
Peter: Let go of me!
Rosalee: You're not leaving.
Peter: No! [He gets free of Rosalee's grip]
Rosalee: I'm calling the police. [Peter woges into an Apgadnieks and tries to attack her, but she catches his arm and pins him to the ground]
Peter: [He retracts] You're hurting me!
[Rosalee takes the jars out of Peter's pockets]
Peter: Wait, I need those!
Rosalee: Oh, yeah? I don't hear you coughing.
Peter: It's for my little sister. Please! If I had money, I'd pay for it. [He groans]
Rosalee: I'm gonna let you up. You try that again, I'm calling the police. [She lets go of Peter] Where are your parents? I said, where are your parents?
Peter: I don't have any.
Rosalee: Where do you live?
Peter: Nowhere. Please, it's for my little sister. She's really sick.
Rosalee: [She hands the jars back to Peter] Don't ever try that again.
Peter: Why weren't you scared of me?
Rosalee: I've seen worse.
Monroe: So I actually got a couple of extra- [Peter runs by him as he arrives at the shop] Whoa! Easy! What happened here?
Rosalee: Sticky fingers.
Monroe: Shoplifter? He's getting away!
Rosalee: I got him. He was an Apgadnieks.
Monroe: Did he try to hurt you?
Rosalee: He was just trying to scare me.
Monroe: Well, at least you caught him.
Rosalee: I did. But I let him keep it.
Monroe: Excuse me. Pardon me. I'm sorry, uh, what?
Rosalee: He didn't have any money.
Monroe: I'm not sure that's how a business is supposed to run.
Rosalee: He said it was for his little sister; she has a bad cough. A little goldenseal, not the end of the world.
Monroe: Rosalee...
Rosalee: He doesn't have any parents.
Monroe: Sure. Who wouldn't believe a fine, young, upstanding Apgadnieks. Tell you, two things I know about kids. One: they're the future and should be cherished. Two: they're lying little bastards.
Rosalee: Are you really that cynical?
Monroe: Realistic.
Rosalee: What if we decide to have a couple, huh? You gonna feel that way about them?
Monroe: Oh, no, I was just talking about kids in general. You know, not our kids. I got to go. Keller's display-watch popped a wheelie. I won't be long. And stop being such a softy-except to me.
Rosalee: Oh, so the softy thing's conditional?
Monroe: Oh, yeah. [He and Rosalee kiss]
Rosalee: You're a softy.
Monroe: Only for you. [He leaves]

Scene: Nick and Hank have Ben Henley confirm that it was Wendy's body that was found.

[Nick opens the cold chamber and slides Wendy's body out]
Ben: Oh, I can't believe it. I can't believe it...
Nick: Is this your wife, Wendy Henley?
Ben: Yes, that's her...
Hank: When was the last time you saw her?
Ben: July 12th, two years ago: the day she disappeared. [He fights back tears]
Nick: [He slides Wendy's body back into the cold chamber] Do you have any idea why she'd be up off that road? Any friends or relatives in the area?
Ben: Up there? No.
Hank: Anyone ever contact you about her?
Ben: No.
Nick: Your wife have any exes or people in her past with a history of violence?
Ben: No. No. [He chokes up] I already answered all these questions before. They searched my house for God's sake! They searched my office. They searched my parents' house. I didn't kill my wife! Sorry. I just-I thought she was dead two years ago. [He sobs] Where the hell has she been? Who would do this to her?

Scene: Peter and Big John talk about Rosalee.

Big John: She had pretty hair.
Peter: Who?
Big John: The lady that gave you the medicine.
Peter: Yeah.
Big John: She must have been really scared of you.
Peter: She wasn't.
Big John: But they're always scared when they see what we are.
Peter: I don't know; maybe she's seen others like us. I mean, I told her Lily was sick and she just gave it to me.
Big John: But why?
Peter: I don't know. Maybe she cared.
Big John: Whoa! [He gasps as he almost falls into one of their traps]
Peter: Watch where you're going!
Big John: [He stammers] I... forgot.
Peter: Pay attention.
Big John: Sorry, Peter.
Peter: You can't keep forgetting.

Scene: Adalind leaves a store with Kelly.

Adalind: Kelly, you're too young to appreciate the irony of this, but the car we're driving belonged to a woman who tried to kill me. Of course I tried to kill her too. It was all very complicated.
Lane: [Walking up] Adalind?
Adalind: Yeah?
Lane: Remember me? Lane from Berman, Rautbort?
Adalind: Of course I remember you, Lane. How are you?
Lane: Great. Last I heard you got snatched up by some richer-than-God European firm. What was it, Switzerland?
Adalind: Austria.
Lane: Austria, right. And who is this little dude?
Adalind: This is my son, Kelly.
Lane: Wow, you're married now... [Adalind shrugs noncomittally] Or not. Whatever. [He laughs nervously] With a kid. So who's the lucky dad? Anyone I know?
Adalind: No.
Lane: Well, family life agrees with you. You look great.
Adalind: Thanks.
Lane: So you moved back to Portland.
Adalind: Yeah, I did.
Lane: Well, that's perfect timing. You know, if you ever feel like coming back to work. Berman would hire you in a second.
Adalind: Really?
Lane: Oh, yeah. Berman hated to lose you. And just between us, if you decide to come back, ask for more money. He'll pay it.
Adalind: [She laughs] Thanks, Lane.
Lane: Sure. Well, hopefully I'll see around. [He walks away]

Scene: Rosalee and Monroe talk on the phone.

Rosalee: When are you going to be done with that clock? 'Cause I want to close up early, unless you can't get away.
Monroe: No, no. I can be done in, like... I don't know, 20 minutes? That work?
[The spice shop door jingles]
Rosalee: There's a customer. Want me to call you back?
Monroe: No, I can hold.
Rosalee: Okay. [She goes to the front of the shop] Hey, who are you?
Lily: Lily. [She coughs] My brother said you were very nice. You gave him my medicine for free.
Rosalee: Your brother? Oh, your brother. He told me you were sick, but he didn't have any money.
Lily: So you care about us?
Rosalee: Well, sure. Honey, you're not here all alone are you? Where's your brother?
Lily: Here.
[Peter and Big John come up from behind Rosalee, and Peter puts a chloroform soaked rag over Rosalee's face]
Lily: Don't hurt her! Be careful!
Monroe: Rosalee!

Scene: Monroe returns to the spice shop and finds Rosalee's phone on the floor.

Monroe: Rosalee! Oh, my God. [He picks up Rosalee's phone] Rosalee! Rosalee! [He goes out the back door] Rosalee!

Scene: Nick and Hank talk to Renard about their conversation with Ben.

Nick: Husband was pretty shook up.
Renard: Do we suspect him?
Hank: Don't think so. He was pretty shocked when he saw her body.
Nick: No evidence signs of abuse other than the markings on her wrists. Rape kit came back negative.
Hank: She wasn't emaciated. Somebody was feeding her.
Renard: If she was on foot, she couldn't have gotten far.
Nick: We're checking the surrounding area. [He and Hank go to their desks and he notices that Monroe is calling him, and he answers] Monroe.
Monroe: Geez, Nick, there you are.
Nick: What's wrong?
Monroe: Something happened to Rosalee. I came back to the spice shop, and she-she's gone. Somebody grabbed her, Nick. I mean I heard it on the phone. I was talking to her when it happened.
Nick: We're on our way.

Scene: Rosalee is driven to the kids' home in the forest, still knocked out and with her hands tied up.

Lily: You think she'll like it?
Big John: Yeah. She likes us, doesn't she?
[Rosalee wakes up and quickly sits up]
Peter: It's all right. Nobody's gonna hurt you.
Rosalee: Why are you doing this?
Peter: We need you.
Rosalee: Where are you taking me?
Peter: Don't be afraid.
Rosalee: [Angrily] Where are you taking me?
Peter: Home.

Scene: Nick and Hank arrive at the spice shop.

Nick: Tell us what happened.
Monroe: Okay, so... This kid came into the store, and apparently he tried to steal some stuff, but Rosalee catches him, right? But then he says his sister is sick or whatever, so she gives him the stuff, lets him go, but then he came back. And I was on the phone with her. I mean, I heard the whole thing-they took her. There were these other voices, okay, and they took her!
Hank: You have a name of the kid?
Monroe: No, Rosalee thought he was homeless or something. You know, she felt sorry for him.
Nick: Did she describe him?
Monroe: No, I saw him when he tried to escape. But I didn't get a very good look at him. He's, like, a kid. I don't know, 15, or whatever. But Rosalee did say he woged to scare her, you know, when he tried to get away. He's Apgadnieks. So I don't know why they would take her.
Nick: All right, the bank down the street has surveillance. That's where we start.

Scene: Big John parks near the kids' home.

Lily: We're home. You can get out now.
Rosalee: This isn't right. You need to take me back.
Peter: We're not taking you back. This is where you live now.
Rosalee: Hey, did you hear what I said to you?
Peter: You need to get out now. Get her.
[Big John gets Rosalee out of the truck]
Rosalee: Hey, I tried to help you kids, but you are now in a lot of trouble.
Peter: Try anything, and Big John here will have to hurt you. That's not what we want.
Rosalee: They'll be looking for me. And believe me, you do not want these people to find you.
Lily: You get to sleep next to me.
Big John: Miguel, help me get this camp up.
Miguel: I can't reach!

Scene: Nick, Hank, and Monroe check surveillance at the precinct.

Hank: What time did Rosalee call you?
Monroe: 6:32.
Hank: All right. We'll start a few minutes before that.
Nick: If these kids are homeless, there's no way they got out of the spice shop without being noticed.
Monroe: I don't know about that. If they're homeless, maybe they had a shopping cart they put her in and covered her up or whatever.
Hank: All right, this is when you got the call. Nothing of them on the street.
Monroe: This isn't helping. That's me! That's when I got there. They were all gone by then. What the hell are we gonna do?
Nick: Okay, run it back. Play it again. Wait.
Monroe: What; what'd you see?
Nick: I'm not sure. Keep going. There. Doesn't that look like the truck from the other footage?
Monroe: What other footage? There's other footage?
Nick: The Wendy Henley case.
Hank: Yeah, pulling it up.
Monroe: What for? Who's Wendy Henley?
Nick: Missing persons case from a couple of years ago.
Monroe: What the hell does that have to do with Rosalee?
Hank: Got it.
Monroe: I don't understand—
Hank: There.
Nick: That's the same truck.
Hank: You said the boy told Rosalee he had a little sister.
Monroe: Yes. And there was-there was a girl's voice on the phone. Rosalee was talking to her.
Hank: Could the girl in the Henley footage be the little sister?
Nick: They're using the girl as bait.
Monroe: So what, you're saying the same kids who took Rosalee could be the same ones who took her? Well, what happened to her? [He looks at Nick and Hank] What?
Nick: We found her body on the side of the road this morning.
Monroe: Oh, my God; you're telling me they're killers?
Hank: We'll put a BOLO out on the truck.
Monroe: That's not good enough! Where'd you find the body?
Nick: Service road off Highway 30.
Monroe: Okay, that's where we start, but I need her scent.
Nick: Whose scent?
Monroe: The dead woman's. Where is she?

Scene: Monroe is taken to the morgue to get Wendy's scent.

Monroe: [He woges and sniffs around. He then retracts] Got it. Let's go.

Scene: Peter brings Rosalee a blanket.

Peter: I brought you a blanket. Sorry; I can't untie you yet. We've been abandoned by other mothers we loved before. Listen, I know this is gonna be hard at first, but... you'll get used to it.
Rosalee: Get used to what?
Peter: Being loved.
Rosalee: You don't kidnap loved ones.
Peter: [He sighs] I'm just gonna warn you now, Mother. If you so much as think of running out on your children, I'll find you and kill you myself. [He woges] You're in our world now. [He retracts]

Scene: Nick, Hank, and Monroe arrive where Wendy's body was found.

Nick: This is where the body was found.
Monroe: Okay. Give me a second. [He starts sniffing] It's a little stale. [He sniffs] I can smell you guys here too. [He sniffs and woges] Oh, yeah. That's her. [He sniffs] She came from this direction. [He retracts] Up there.
Nick: There's no trail.
Hank: Probably fell. That would explain the cut on her head.
[They start walking up the hill]

Scene: Lily and Miguel bring Rosalee food.

Miguel: I've got berries.
Lily: Do you like rabbit?
Miguel: I picked the berries myself.
Big John: Picking berries is easy. They don't run away. I'm the one who caught the rabbit.
Miguel: The trap caught the rabbit. All you did was skin it.
Big John: Shut up.
Miguel: You shut up. She likes my berries better anyway. I like to save them for dessert.
Big John: That's 'cause you're an idiot.
Peter: Stop it. No fighting at dinner. Aren't you gonna eat?
Lily: It's really good, Mother.
Miguel: Please, Mother. Come on, you have to eat something.
[Rosalee eats a berry]

Scene: Monroe continues to track Wendy's scent.

Hank: Still got it?
Monroe: Yeah, but there's more-same as I picked up on the road. She wasn't alone. And it's all coming from the same direction. This way.

Scene: The kids prepare for bed.

Peter: Time for bed.
Lily: You're right here, next to me.
Big John: Mother, can we have a story?
Rosalee: What kind of story?
Lily: A good one!
Miguel: A long one!
Big John: With fighting.
Rosalee: Okay. How about the tale of the Grimm and the Wolf? That's the one my mother always told me.
Lily: What's a Grimm?
Rosalee: A Grimm is a hunter.
Miguel: What does it hunt?
Rosalee: A Grimm can see Wesen, but they don't always know which are good or which are bad, so they hunt them all.
Peter: What's a Wesen?
Big John: Shh! Let her tell us the story.
Rosalee: The story begins with a boy. But not just any boy. This boy changed into a wolf, but only when he got angry. He couldn't help it. His parents warned him that he should never show anger in front of strangers because you can never tell if that stranger is a Grimm until it's too late. But the boy, he was proud of what he was.
Big John: So he was a boy and a wolf?
Rosalee: He was Blutbaden. Have you heard of Blutbaden?
[The kids shake their heads]
Lily: Did he listen to his mother?
Rosalee: No. And that's always a mistake.
[The scene shifts to Nick, Hank, and Monroe in the forest]
Monroe: It's getting stronger.
[The scene shifts back to Rosalee and the kids]
Rosalee: Once the boy realized he had woged in front of a Grimm, he realized his mistake.
Big John: The Grimm knew he was a Blut... [He yawns] Button?
Rosalee: Blutbad, yes. The boy saw the Grimm's eyes turn as black as a night without a moon or star in it. But by then, it was too late. The Grimm had cut off the Blutbad boy's head.
Peter: I don't like this story very much.
Rosalee: Hmm. Well, it's not finished yet. The parents of the boy wanted to seek revenge on the Grimm. So they decided to set a trap for him.
[The scene shifts to Nick, Hank, and Monroe]
Monroe: It's really strong here. [He sniffs and sets off a trap]
Hank: Monroe!
[Monroe ducks as a log comes swinging at him. The scene shifts back to Rosalee and the kids, as Rosalee makes sure the kids are asleep before she woges and gnaws on the ropes around her hands. The scene shifts back to Nick, Hank, and Monroe]
Monroe: This is it.
Nick: That's the truck.
Monroe: Wait a minute. I got Rosalee. We're close.
[The scene shifts back to Rosalee as she gets the ropes off her hands. She stands up and quietly heads towards the door, but she pauses when Lily starts coughing. She then quickly goes out the door and starts running]
Lily: [She coughs herself awake] Mother? Mother! No.
Peter: Where is she?
Lily: No, no. She left us. She left us! [She goes after Rosalee and the others follow]
[The scene shifts to Rosalee running until she falls in a trap pit, and the kids walk up]
Lily: Why did you do that?
Peter: Because she's a bad mother. Get her out.
[Big John and Lily pull Rosalee out of the pit]
Peter: We warned you about what happened to mothers who abandon their children.
[The boys woge]
Rosalee: This has gone far enough. [She woges] Don't make me hurt you.
[The boys retract]
Lily: Wait! She's like me! [She woges into a Fuchsbau] She's the same as me. You're the same as me! [She hugs Rosalee, and Rosalee retracts] My real mother. [She retracts]
Rosalee: You all need to listen to me.
Peter: Someone's coming.
Rosalee: Monroe!
Peter: Who is it?
Rosalee: My husband. He's looking for me.
Lily: No, no, no. You-you can't let them take her.
Big John: We won't. [He woges]
Monroe: Rosalee!
Peter: She's ours! You can't have her. [He woges]
[Peter runs at Monroe, and Monroe woges as Peter tries to jump on him, but he knocks Peter to the ground]
Big John: [He advances towards Nick] He's a Grimm! He's gonna cut off my head! [He retracts, and Hank grabs him]
Monroe: [Holding Peter down with his hands raised] You little-
Rosalee: Monroe! Stop.
[Monroe and Peter retract]
Rosalee: Don't hurt him!
Monroe: Oh, my God. [He hugs Rosalee]
[Nick picks Peter up off the ground]
Hank: They're just kids.
Lily: No, no, no, you can't leave. Not again. [She pushes in between Monroe and Rosalee and hugs Rosalee again]
Monroe: What the hell?
Rosalee: They didn't hurt me.
Miguel: [Crying] I don't wanna go back. [He lays on the ground]

Scene: The kids are taken to the precinct.

Hank: Just need you to sign the statement again.
Rosalee: [She signs] Now what?
Nick: Child Services take over.
Hank: A judge will decide where they end up.
Rosalee: So they go back into the system.
Nick: They do.
Rosalee: Where they learn to be even more angry at the world. [She looks at the kids and goes over to them] I'm sorry I couldn't be your mother. This world doesn't seem fair sometimes. It can be pretty painful. I wish I could make it better for you. Lily? Maybe I could write to you, maybe send you some goldenseal for—
Lily: I never want to see you again. [She woges her eyes] I hate you.
[Rosalee walks away as Lily glares at her]

Scene: Adalind struggles to sleep, so she goes to see Nick.

Adalind: Sorry. New place, couldn't sleep. Isn't it the baby that's supposed to keep the parents awake?
Nick: Kelly's got a lot less to worry about.
Adalind: For now at least. Nick... I don't want to be alone right now. I know this is... well, whatever it is, but... maybe just for tonight, you could sleep in our room? I'm sorry. This is too weird.
Nick: I think we're beyond weird at this point. [He grabs his gun and goes with Adalind to her room to go back to bed]
Adalind: [She rolls over] Thank you.
[Nick stares at the ceiling]

Scene: Monroe and Rosalee talk about the kids.

Monroe: You can only do so much.
Rosalee: I know. But when I was staying with them—
Monroe: Staying? You make it sound like a Holiday Inn.
Rosalee: I told them a story my mother used to tell me. It was a Wesen story, so of course the Grimm killed him in the end.
Monroe: Of course.
Rosalee: It hit me that these kids have no idea what they are.
Monroe: Really? They really don't know they're Wesen?
Rosalee: No. I mean, they know they're different, and that I'm different and you're different, but... they have no idea what our reality means.
Monroe: Well, look, whatever kind of family you have, reality is relative. You know, normal is just the middle of the mess.
Rosalee: I just hope they find the help they need.

Scene: The boys are taken to a Warden.

Hooke: I'm Warden Hooke. I want you to know your friend Lily is well.
Peter: She's not our friend. She's our sister.
Hooke: You guys think you're tough? I know what you are. So show me. [He waits, but the boys do nothing, so he woges into a Schakal] I said, "Show me."
[The boys woge]
Hooke: Good. [He retracts]
[The boys retract]
Hooke: Boys, I'm offering you a chance to join others like yourselves, to stop hiding what you are. Repeat after me. "Occultatum Libera."
Boys: Occultatum Libera.
Peter: What's it mean?
Hooke: It means you have a new family.

Scene: Meisner opens the door of a cell that Trubel is in.

Meisner: Let's go. It's time.
[Trubel hesitates, but she stands up and goes with Meisner]
