The Silver Plate Society is a secret upper-class club. Most members do not know one another's actual names.
Feasting ritual
A feasting ritual is held every several years. Each is separated from the previous by a a quarter of a century. The ritual lasts for a month, and the Chef, a specially appointed member, is responsible for preparing each meal.
Leeren Stuhl
The final three days are called Leeren Stuhl (LAIR-ən SHTOOL) in German, or Empty Chair in English. Perhaps this is named so because the true connoisseurs have left, with the finest dishes served in the first week. To ensure food does not run out during Empty Chair days, the public is invited (using cryptic invitations) to attend. Meals are prepared from any of the nonmember public responding to the open invitation, Wesen and Kehrseiten alike. Additional kidnappings may take place to provide when needed.

Membership is strictly hereditary. Most current members are Schakale, Geier, or Coyomeh.
